Today we raise our palm branches on this Palm Sunday in defiance of any government that tries to oppress the people of God who are in Christ—in defiance of any evil or power or darkness or fear or virus that tries to crush our hope or steal our joy. We are not afraid. We do not grieve as those without hope, we do not worry like unbelievers.
Behold! We walk through the resurrection accounts and find out that not only is it the story of Jesus rising from the dead—it's your story now, too. Which means there's nothing to be afraid of anymore. That seems like good news.

Holy is a word that gets a bad rap. We hear “God is holy” and we think that means He’s uptight. Stern. But “Holy” is a beautiful word... a word that’s full of hope and life and grace. God blessed the 7th day and called it holy, He has done the same to you. God's holiness is contagious.
