There’s no problem we can’t make worse by fighting with people we’re supposed to love. You might be overwhelmed but don’t take it out on other people. We have to show people mercy for the past, grace for the present, if we want to have hope for tomorrow.
Colossians 3:14-17 There’s a lot going on in that little passage. It’s a pretty good description of what we can expect to happen when we come to Jesus—love, harmony, peace, thankfulness — it’s also a pretty good list of the ways He expects us to come to Him.

We love to watch people get what’s coming to them. Until we’re the one who’s got it coming. We don’t want justice when we’re the one who’s guilty. We want to get away with it. Mercy and grace isn’t the way the world works, but it’s the way God works in the world because of Jesus.

“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you that I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28–30
When we’re overwhelmed, Jesus doesn’t tell us to try harder. To get over it. To take a nap, or a pill. He says to come to Him and receive rest.

The most powerful witness to faith you will ever see. This is what faith looks like, this is what for is for. Everything that matters in this world points to putting our faith in Jesus. Our hope, our happily ever after, our salvation—it's all founded and perfected in Him. So, look to him, point to him, point other people to Him, and no matter what happens—keep running and endure until the end. Hebrews 11:17-12:3
