If there is a God, most of us think we could do a better job—we think we’re nicer than God, more tolerant, we wanna give Him a few pointers. We wanna help God rule the world, cause He doesn’t seem to know what He’s doing.

Who are we supposed to trust? Who’s trustworthy? We don’t trust the news. We don’t trust politicians. We certainly don’t trust preachers—at least not if we don’t know them! We don’t know who to trust or what to believe. As a culture, we need something true we can put our faith in. Something we can trust. Something we can believe in.
There are five times in the Bible that the Apostle Paul says something that’s so foundational—he basically says, “look, if you don’t hear anything else I’m saying—hear this! This is true. This is trustworthy. This is a faithful saying.”
Here’s the first one: 1 Timothy 1:15 “This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.”
Grace is a scandal.

We gotta talk about our faith. If we don’t, we’re not gonna have faith—not as a culture, or as a nation, even as individual people. Because faith comes by hearing—somebody has to talk about it if anyone is gonna hear about it. Romans 10:9-10, 1 Peter 3:15
